Dear Prayer Supporters,
"Quoi de neuf?" This means "What's new?" and is a pretty common little conversational phrase among friends in France. If my life had been pretty dull lately, I might reply, "pas grand-chose" (nothing much), but since that isn't the case, here's the latest news!
What’s New with Language School

The summer session of language school went well, and I'm thankful for all the extra hours of immersion in French that it provided.
Praise the Lord for opportunities during the month to share about Christ with several of my classmates.
Please pray that the Lord will work in their hearts.
Thank you for praying about my carte de sejour (visa). I did eventually get the needed document without any major difficulties. This visa will allow me to stay here until the end of the year. I have just one more semester of language school remaining; classes will start on September 10 and continue until mid-December. I plan to leave for Chad directly from France in the second half of December - only about four and a half months away!
Please continue to pray that the Lord will be glorified in these remaining months in France.
What’s New with Bibles International
While I am busy here in Europe studying the French language, the work of Bibles International is continuing around the world. For three years now, BI has printed more Scriptures than at any other time in our history.
Praise the Lord that already this year, six new Bible translations have been dedicated! Also, last month,
five new team members joined Bibles international.
Please pray for these new coworkers as they begin their deputation ministries.
Pray for the six recently completed Bibles, that the Lord will use them to work in people's hearts.
Please pray also for our nearly 40 other Bible translation projects around the world that are still in the process of translating the Scriptures.
Pray for wisdom and guidance for each of those involved in the translation.
Pray also for the financial needs of these projects, as it is costly to print all these Bibles that people will eventually read. Several of these projects are nearing completion, such as the
translation into the Rito language, a language group in northern Central African Republic and southern Chad. The Rito team is now working on making the final corrections to their New Testament, and hope to have it printed next year. Over $9,000 are still needed to cover the printing cost of the Rito New Testament.
Will you pray for the Rito and other language groups like them, who are eagerly waiting to read the Scriptures in their mother tongue?
If you would like more information on how you can pray or give toward the Rito New Testament project, or another project in Africa, Asia, Latin America, or the Caribbean, please email
inbox@biblesint.org.
Thank you for praying!
In Christ's Service,
Anna Beth Wivell
